Edge Consulting

One of the great success stories of the TM program is the "Edge Consulting" story. It is a consulting company founded by one esteemed member of our alumni - Frank Strickland. He was also a faculty for one of our courses for the class of 2008. Here is the link to their website.

One interesting part of their website is the "Books We Read" section. I regularly visit that part of the site to get information about great books. This section gives a world view of the current happenings and also to what we, as future leaders, should keep up to date on.

Please share with us your success stories.

Instead of only concentrating on the success stories, maybe we take a look at a sad TechMan story - me! I dropped out of the program in 2003, after I was chewed up by the GMU shredders (i.e. instructors) and spit out like syphilitic jiz from the mouth of a Tunisian whore. Allow me to explain. As a student - I was more of the artistic type as opposed to the technical kind. Numbers confuse me. I enrolled in the program hoping it would help me begin my own business, and then start a revolution in my industry. What's that you might ask? Pornographic Animation. Think 'Pixar' meets 'Vivid' video. Think of it - sexy hot computer generated cartoon characters, bangin' the hell out of each other, but no messy clean-up afterwards. When I talked my group into submitting the idea for capstone, all hell broke loose. But I stuck by my idea. I went to the program director and acted out scenes to give the idea realism, but he would have none of it. I was forced out of the program. Now I'm reduced to drawing weiners on the walls of bathroom stalls. So congrats to those of you who will go on to graduate with your TechMan degrees. I hope you'll all be happy. But when you go to take a dump, look for the sad weiner on the wall, and think of me.

I don't understand. What iz a GMU shredder? Is this blog about a university? I found GMU online as a George Mason Uni is this the same one? Is american education difficult? I don't understand the focus of dis program. Is it a graphical computer education? Why do you think you had difficult? My brother wants to go to america and go to school there. He loves america, but my responsibilities are home, so Thailand I stay.

this gmu program sounds great. i have a wonderful idea for the pocket pussy and have already developed the prototype. i know this idea will put marriage conselors and sex therapists out of business. it is perfect for the man on the go. it can be marketed to the alpha mom who is much to busy to pleasure her husband. the professor who stays up into the night writing line after line of code and drinking coffee will especially appreciate this device. the market is endless. this is a billion dollar product. will this techman program, as you call it, help me develop the business plan to go along with this idea? what is capstone by the way?

The original article says "Frank Strickland" is an alumni. An alumni of what - GMU?

I thought Frank Strickland was an S&M pron actor starring in many short films where beat the bejesus out of young men and women. Do I have my "Franks" mixed up?

What do they do at Edge Consulting? Is that a cover for "other" horndog activities - like shooting off someone's face with "rounds on target"?

Well,

I don't know about the pr0n, but I know Frank. I used to work directly underneath Frank. We were very close...it was the most completely fulfilling experience I've ever had. He would ROUTINELY shoot my face off if I didn't bring it strong or come on time. He's a stickler for performance.

Hello.

I read with great interest the story on Edge Consulting. Are you really an employee at Edge? I could be very interested in working for such an organization. My skills are immense and I like working underneath strong leaders.

My warmth and determination to please, allows me to focus on the goal. I will admit I like to hide "big issues" in secret, warm places to provide me comfort.

I am eager to work at this Edge Consulting. Please someone provide a contact in order for me to speak about opportunities!

Hi Haid,

Sadly, I am no longer with Edge...Frank put some rounds on target and fired my ass.

Ivan Torubit,

Thank you for your response. I am interested in this technology man college degree program discussed about this blog. Does anyone have information about this program? I think internet based college degree programs are a bargain. This online school - GMU - could be perfect for me since I am not in America.

Can anyone recommend the best RMM program for a small IT service company like mine? Does anyone use Kaseya.com or GFI.com? How do they compare to these guys I found recently: N-able N-central database monitoring
? What is your best take in cost vs performance among those three? I need a good advice please... Thanks in advance!
